What we do
We build and restore bikes, as well as teaching you how to service your own, all in our very own fully equipped workshop on the North Mall Campus.
We meet every Wednesday night at 7:30pm in our workshop located by the Cooperage near the Enterprise Centre on the North Mall Campus. Click on this link for a Google Map: http://goo.gl/maps/HswuZ
As the only college-based motorcycle club in Ireland, we rebuild and restore motorbikes in our fully equipped workshop. We also participate in ride-outs and runs throughout the year while also making sure to get some time off the saddle with movie nights, go-karting and socials all through the college year. Track days are now also on the cards, with the club having taken in our first track day in a while in 2013. We take an active interest in racing both on the world stage and here at home with regular meet-ups to attend hill-climbs, road races and to watch MotoGP or World Superbike on the big screen.
Many of our members have learned most, or all, of their mechanical skills through our workshop nights and can use the facility to perform services and other maintenance on their own machines. This is important as it saves members money and develops skills that are not developed in a classroom setting. It’s also a lot of fun as it gives an outlet to our members not available in any other Irish college or university.
The club is open to any UCC student (or staff member), be you a first year or a PhD student. You don’t need a bike to be a member either, just a sense of adventure!
